NHBRC at the Human Settlements Indaba 2017

The North West Human Settlements Indaba 2017, organised by Provincial Department of Local Government & Human Settlements was held on 23 and 24 March at the Rustenburg Civic Centre. Delegates from various entities in the sector converged under theme effective planning to turn Bokone Bophirima (North West) into a construction site through the implementation of the Villages, Townships and Small Dorpies (VTSD) approach.

The National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) was represented by Provincial Structural Engineer, Thokozani Ndzinisa and Provincial Inspectorate Coordinator,Tumedi Phefadi participated in the panel that was discussing Project and Contract management. This gave the NHBRC an opportunity to enlighten contractors and other stakeholders on how to improve quality and turnaround times in their building projects.

Speakers at the Indaba included the Honourable Minister of Human Settlements Lindiwe Sisulu; North West Premier Supra Mahumapelo; and MEC of Local Government & Human Settlements Galaletsang Gaolaolwe.

The indaba was attended by contractors, developers, building material suppliers, municipalities, councillors, community leaders, mining and banking sectors.
